New Tennis Coach at RU

"I am really excited about the opportunity to coach at Rockhurst and to continue to build up the tennis program." Mayorga-Perry said. "I would like to thank Richard Konzem for this opportunity and I look forward to a great season."
Mayorga-Perry was a two-time All-American at the University of Kentucky in 2001-02. She received SEC Player of the Week award and the ITA/ Tennis Magazine National Leadership and Sportsmanship Award. She was also the recipient of the National Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship. An SEC Academic Honor Roll athlete, she was a NCAA doubles semifinalist and ranked No. 3 in the nation.
"Carolina has an impressive background in directing tennis programs," said Rockhurst Athletic Director Richard Konzem. "She was an outstanding collegiate player and is currently one of the top amateur players in the Kansas City area."
A true tennis lover, Mayorga-Perry enjoys playing tennis with her husband Dustin. In 2006 the couple won the USTA National Husband and Wife Hard Court Championships at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.
After graduating from Kentucky in 2003 with a degree in International Economics and Foreign Languages, Mayorga-Perry received her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Previously, Mayorga-Perry was an assistant tennis professional in Lexington, Kentucky and has served as the director of tennis at the National Golf Club in Kansas City since 2003.
