The Helzberg School of Management Dean's Student Advisory Board has been busy and productive this first semester.

From eating lunch with Warren Buffet in Omaha, Neb., to enjoying a brown bag lunch with Dean Daley, members of this board have been working hard to get the word out about the excellence surrounding our university.

Our advisory board was happy to provide coffee and bagels for all students during finals, the new flat screen televisions in Conway Hall and the crucifixes in the classrooms.

But we don't just provide snacks or opportunities to visit with one of the worlds most successful businessmen, we are all about making the most of every opportunity for those students involved with the Helzberg School of Management.

As we look toward the future we look forward to hosting another career fair with companies such as H &R Block and Northwestern Mutual Financial Group and also having one more brown bag discussion featuring a selected professor from our Helzberg staff.

We are proud of past accomplishments that have played a small role in the HSOM receiving an AACSB accreditation which ranks us among the top 10% of business school in the world.

This wonderful achievement could not have been received without our dedicated professors. Our board felt that we should do something to honor their hard work so we started both the Perfect Professor Award and the Outstanding Professor of the Year honor. The winner last year for both categories was Dr. Martin Stack and on behalf of our advisory board we would like to thank Dr. Stack as well as all of our fine professors for their hard work. We encourage everyone to stop by for coffee and bagels during finals to put in your vote for your favorite professor.

This article is just a small list of accomplishments and services our advisory board offers and we would like to welcome anyone interested in joining to please attend our next meeting. For information on meeting times feel free to contact me at althausz@rockhurst.edu.
