The men's basketball (14-9, 8-7) team had a nice home stand to open February winning 3 out of 4. After a thrilling 75-72 victory over Bellarmine on the 1st, the Hawks suffered a tough loss at the hands of a hot shooting Northern Kentucky team 63-87 on Feb. 3rd. Then they handled a tough Quincy team beating them 72-61 on Feb. 8th. Finally the Hawks won another OT thriller against Southern Illinois Edwardsville 70-64 led by guard Aaron Hill's 19 points on Feb 10th to round out the home stand. The team will travel to Rolla on Feb. 15th and UMSL on Feb 17th before returning to the Rock to play Drury on Feb. 20th.

The women's basketball team (8-15, 2-13) did not have the same success on the recent home stand as the men's team. They suffered losses in all four games 70-87 against Bellarmine, followed by a 41-93 blowout against Northern Kentucky, 50-64 to Quincy, and 59-65 to SIUE. They will try to change their luck as they travel to Rolla and USML along with the men's team.

The baseball team opened up their season on February 2nd against Lincoln in Minneapolis MN. They won 2 games against Lincoln on the 2nd, before splitting two games with them on the 3rd. Rockhurst took the 1st game 5-2 behind J.P. McGrath's strong pitching performance, then won the next game 5-0 on the arm of Patrick Larm. Rockhurst opened play on Feb. 3rd with a 5-4 lead by 3 RBI from 2nd baseman Chad Hatcher, before falling 7-8 against Lincoln in the final game. The team's next game is Feb. 24 against Grand Valley State in Highland Heights, KY.

The men's and women's tennis teams both won 9-0 at Arkansas Ft. Smith on Feb. 10th and they play again at Indianapolis on Feb. 16th.
