Recognize this Jesuit?

The Jesuits here at Rockhurst play an important role in our university. They serve as an important faction to the pillars for which Rockhurst stands. In this corner of the Sentinel, we seek to better introduce these men of God to you, one by one, that is….if you can NAME THAT JESUIT!



•The Jesuit pictured is often seen roaming the halls of Massman. When he leaves, it may be for another adventure to the mouth of the Nile River. There you may find him walking along the shore, one of his favorite pastimes.

•This Jesuit attended Rockhurst briefly as a student in the Education Department in 1980. Since then he has earned a MA in American Studies and in Divinity.

His favorite Bible verse? Luke 1:49. "For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His name"

•During his free time, this Jesuit enjoys cooking. Now that he has just finished reading "Water for Elephants", he may feel inclined to watch his favorite movie, "Crash."

•Lastly, this Jesuit offers these insightful words:"Love ought to manifest itself in deeds rather than in words." - St. Ignatius of Loyola
